GB Hockey

Our Year 5 and 6 Pioneers are having a real treat today enjoying watching GB Men and Women hockey teams playing in the FIH Pro League.

First we had a nail-biting women's match against the Chinese which ended in a penalty shootout. Great Britain demonstrated real determination finally winning . Next up the GB Men are playing Spain. Everyone is having a great time especially as many of us have never watched live hockey before.

Wow what a day we have had! We have met and obtained autographs from many players from Germany, USA, Spain and Great Britain. We have tried our hand at a quick game of hockey AND our very own Charlie got to place the match ball on the pitch for the Ireland v Germany match! Amazing!! The children had great time and got to meet some professional hockey players, a wonderful opportunity to see Great Britain Hockey in action and inspire some future hockey players
